After hearing that customers were having problems with 123HostHow, we investigated the web hosting company. Though their website still exists, we were unable to contact the company and, from glancing at the forums, many others having problems.

We would recommend choosing a different web hosting service.  

Feature Set:  

123HostNow does offer some useful features, including 99 email addresses. For a limited time, they offer no setup fees and a free control panel; normally they charge for these services. They also offer Unlimited FTP Access, Unlimited ODBC DSNs, Email Autoresponders, Domain Aliases, a CGI-BIN directory and weekly data backup. They also offer support for ASP, PHP4, CGI/Perl, MSXML4, WAP, SHTML, MySQL 4. One major setback for 123HostNow-they do not offer Secure Socket Layer, a necessary feature for any type of ecommerce, or sales over the internet.

Customer Service:  

Customer service from 123HostNow offers only a few options for support, including email and an online forum and support documents. Their customer service is very poor. We found it impossible to contact 123HostNow directly by phone. If your site is down and you want to speak to someone right away, you will be disappointed. This kind of a problem can potentially kill your site. You can upgrade your customer support by purchasing a more expensive plan package.

Control Panel:  

123HostNow's control panel software is fairly easy to use. The control panel has six icons that lead to tools for managing your site and account, including domain name registration and management, package management, billing, password control and personal details. These tools cover the basics and are self-explanatory.

Overall, 123HostNow is only a fair hosting company for your small to mid-size business. With their limited storage and bandwidth, you will have to worry about expansion problems and running out of hosting horsepower with 123HostNow.
